    Sergey Sergeevich, hello!!!
    Please tell me if this situation arises: my daughter is submitting the original to your university to the departments of “Applied Mathematics” and “Information Security” with scores M (82) P (85) I (81) + medal. A total of 253 points. Let’s assume that we don’t get into these faculties in the first wave, what should we do... Wait for the second wave or switch to enrolling in the faculty with lower grades. points, which I wouldn’t really like to apply for.. What to do in such a situation, if it arises, please advise. We really want to learn from you, but we are afraid of missing points

    Hello, Tatyana!
    I think you should join the first wave. If not, then wait for the second wave, and you will definitely enroll. Without any doubt.

    03.07.19 Tatiana Zelener-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon. Does the university provide dormitory accommodation for non-resident applicants during the period of submitting the original?

    Provides.

    03.07.19 Natalia-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon I am the mother of a student. Question. My son passed the Unified State Exam with 82 points in computer science, 72 points in specialized mathematics, and 87 points in Russian language. Is there a chance to enroll in your institute, and which faculties? He is interested in everything related to programming, information systems, and computer security. (Here on the website we did not find a list of faculties and the number of budget places, with average passing scores, if there is a link, please!). Very grateful.

    03.07.19 Love-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon

    According to the MAI website July 8, 2019 State accreditation of the university ends. Please tell me whether there is up-to-date information about the renewal of accreditation and where I can find it?

    Hello!

    In May-June 2019, the state procedure was carried out at MAI in accordance with the established procedure. accreditation. As soon as documents about the state are received. accreditation from Rosobrnadzor (we hope this will happen in the coming days), they will be posted on the website.
    Update:
    Order No. 937 of 07/03/2019 on the state is available on the Rosobrnadzor website. MAI accreditation. All specialties and areas of training are accredited.

    30.06.19 Alexander-> Sergey Krylov

    Hello, I have a question. If I am still a minor and will submit documents alone, do I need parental consent for the processing of personal data? I can't find information about this.

    No, it's not necessary.

    30.06.19 Svetlana-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon, Sergey Sergeevich.

    I am interested in a direction that is more directly related to programming, apparently you have department 806. But my son took computer science, without physics, and the scores were very high. Therefore, we plan to submit documents for applied mathematics. But the specificity there is not entirely his. As he understood from the DOD, after the first year it is possible to somehow transfer to the direction of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Is this so, is it difficult to implement in practice? And why, in your opinion, is your faculty stronger than the corresponding one at MIREA?

    Hello, Olga!

    Yes, since the first-year program is the same for all areas of our faculty, after the first year you can transfer from any direction to any, maintaining a budget place and a deferment from the army. This happens annually as usual.

    Our faculty has always been and remains stronger than the corresponding structures of MIREA, which is confirmed, in particular, by the success of MAI student teams in the World Programming Championship, the presence of a dissertation council on computer specialties, the number of budget places, etc.

    25.06.19 Olga Borkova-> Sergey Krylov

    Dear Sergey Sergeevich, good afternoon.
    You are worried about applicant Ilya, a student of the Nakhabinsk Gymnasium, I was at your bottom open doors and definitely decided to apply only to you and nowhere else! I was sure that there wouldn’t be any problems, since I’m not a C student and I wasn’t very well prepared for the exams, but alas, I didn’t pass them as well as I would have liked) of course we’re still waiting for computer science results, but Russian, Mathematics and Physics, not so much, total score 160) I hope that computer science will come and be good result... but my question is, are there any chances of enrolling specifically in you, in applied mathematics, if the score is from 180, at least on a paid basis? I am an athlete (football, volleyball, basketball and many other sports), mostly football of course, I played at the Gymnasium, this year I was awarded as the best athlete of 2018-2019 in Krasnogorsk. Our gymnasium has always been in first place in sports, we took part in the Spartakiad, Olympic reserve, and various tournaments. Sorry if I seemed tactless to you and probably all these results are not at all important and do not play any role, but I am confident in my abilities and I can definitely say that I will be a worthy student of your department.

    In advance, thank you very much for your answer.
    Sincerely, Ilya Makharev.

    Hello, Sergei Sergeevich, my son submitted copies of documents and plans to study at the Moscow Aviation Institute. If enrolled, will the consent form and certificate need to be brought in person or can it be sent by mail?

    Hello, Irina!

    You can do it by mail, but it's better in person.

    12.07.19 Irina-> Sergey Krylov

    Thank you.
    Did I understand correctly (they said so on the phone) that I can bring the original until July 28 inclusive (at the destination)?
    Another question: if we write consent for the target, can we continue to participate in the general competition, and if we get into another specialty through the general competition, refuse to enroll in the target and go for the general one?

    12.07.19 Julia-> Sergey Krylov

    Hello Sergey Sergeevich.
    Is it possible to targeted reception submit a copy of the certificate or a copy certified by the school (notary)?
    If yes, when should I bring the original if accepted? When will the target lists appear?
    With 234 points, is it possible to get a hostel with targeted training?

    Hello, Yulia!

    1. An original is required for enrollment. You must bring it before enrollment.

    2. Lists for the target will appear soon.

    3. Depends on the direction of training

    11.07.19 Julia-> Sergey Krylov

    Sergey Sergeevich, thank you for your answer!!! Please clarify, will the competition list be announced on July 27 based on points? Regardless of what the person submitted (original or copy). Will we be able to (submit the original for “Applied Mathematics”, 253 points, need a dormitory) to track how many people will be in front of us if those who submitted copies bring the originals.. Or do those who need a hostel go through a separate competition?

    Hello, Tatyana!
    The list will be by points indicating copies and originals.
    The number of places in the dormitory is limited, but I think that with your points, you will get a place.

    10.07.19 Tatiana Zelener-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon, Sergey Sergeevich!

    My son submitted documents to the Moscow Aviation Institute to participate in a budget competition in 3 areas. If he does not pass the competition or for other reasons is not enrolled in the specified areas, at the end of the competition (after August 8), will he have the opportunity to enter into an agreement for paid training in a direction that is not included in the competitive ones specified by him when submitting his application? If yes, then in what time frame should this be done? Or is it necessary to declare this intention before July 26, otherwise, at the end of the competition, he will no longer be considered as a candidate for enrollment on a paid basis?
    Thanks in advance for clarifications!

    09.07.19 Alexander-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon, I recently completed the 2nd year (without debt, 4th and 5th grade) of full-time budget education and would like to transfer to your university to major in computer science and computer engineering. What documents, where and in what time frame can I submit for this?

    Hello, Sergey!

    You should contact the directorate of Institute No. 3.

    https://mai.ru/education/control/

    08.07.19 Sergey-> Sergey Krylov

    Hello!

    Tell me, please, what does the second stage of testing mean?

    Hello Anna!
    This term is not used, so it most likely means nothing. Maybe you meant “second stage of enrollment”?

    08.07.19 Anna-> Sergey Krylov

    Good afternoon. I am interested in enrolling in your university, and then accelerated studies through transfers due to previous studies. Please tell me who I can discuss this with more specifically. Thank you

    Hello, I think you should discuss this with the administration of the faculty (institute) where you want to enroll.

    Higher education provides an opportunity to obtain decent job. This is explained to schoolchildren long before the time comes for them to decide how their future life should develop. Therefore, many applicants are extremely responsible about where to continue their studies. Such future students carefully research information about their future university. This article is intended to make this process somewhat easier. It will describe Moscow aviation institute(departments, faculties, admission conditions). This information will allow you to make an informed decision: is it worth choosing the educational institution in question?

    About the university

    Over the years of its existence, MAI has grown from a small aeromechanical school to one of the largest national research universities. Today, 1,800 experienced, competent teachers teach more than 20,000 future specialists at 12 faculties in 42 areas of training. Graduates of the institute in question are extremely in demand. Thus, employment for students is guaranteed.

    Positive Feedback

    Is it worth going to MAI? Reviews and people's opinions vary. Often in the most dramatic way. However, the majority of responses are positive. Students and graduates talk about competent, experienced teachers and high-quality knowledge received at the university. Many share that they were able to get a good job after completing their studies. Most graduates do not regret the years they spent at this institute.

    Negative reviews

    However, not everyone speaks with such tenderness and gratitude about studying at MAI. Some claim that many teachers do not provide knowledge properly. Such students talk about constant tardiness of professors, lack of meaningful classes, problems with the admissions committee, and lack of up-to-date educational materials.

    It is not easy to choose which responses to believe. Most likely, they all partly have a certain basis. As a rule, it all depends on the specific people with whom you will have to collaborate. Conscientious teachers will provide quality knowledge, others will waste your time.

    passing score

    Applicants must take into account many nuances. So, what else is important to know for those who are planning to enter MAI on their own this year? Reviews recommend paying attention to what passing scores are Unified State Exam results established by this educational institution. They are relevant both for those who plan to enroll in a budget-funded place, and for those who have chosen the option of paid education.

    So, minimum score in computer science (or information and communication technologies), as well as in social studies is 50, in Russian language - 48, in mathematics - 39, in physics, foreign language, history and geography - 40.

    Reviews recommend that every applicant be sure to take these requirements into account when applying to MAI. This will help you objectively assess your chances.

    Areas of training

    Before choosing a specialty for which you will apply to the Moscow Aviation Institute, reviews recommend that you familiarize yourself with the list of exams required to pass.

    So, there are several blocks of subjects, test results for which should be provided upon admission. First block: Russian language, physics, mathematics. These disciplines are relevant for the following areas of study: applied mathematics and computer science, fundamental computer science and information Technology, physics, computer science and information systems and technologies, radio engineering, instrument engineering, biotechnical systems and technologies, laser technology and laser technologies, power engineering and electrical engineering, applied mechanics, automation technological processes and production, technosphere safety, metallurgy, standardization and metrology, traffic control systems and navigation, missile systems and astronautics, aircraft engines, aircraft construction, control in technical systems, innovation, nanotechnology and microsystem technology.

    The second block of disciplines: mathematics, history, Russian language. It is relevant for those who plan to study as a linguist.

    Third block: Russian language, computer science and These exams will have to be passed by those who intend to enroll in the following areas of training: applied mathematics, applied computer science, software engineering, information security, information technology and communication systems, design and technology electronic means, quality management, system analysis and management.

    Mathematics, Russian language and geography will have to be taken by those who want to study ecology and environmental management.

    In turn, social studies, Russian language and mathematics will be needed for those who want to continue their studies in the following specialties: economics, personnel management, management, business informatics, advertising and public relations, organization of work with youth, service.

    This information will help you reconsider your plans and evaluate your options.

    Faculties

    The main thing you need to decide on in advance is this. To do this, it is important to carefully study the list of available faculties at a given institute. These include the following:

    • "Radiovtuz".
    • "Aviation technology".
    • "Foreign languages".
    • "Aircraft engines".
    • "Aerospace".
    • "Applied mathematics and physics".
    • "Radio electronics of aircraft".
    • "Applied mechanics".

    • "Robotics and intelligent systems."
    • "Pre-university preparation."

    The Moscow Military Aviation Institute is also quite popular among applicants. It is important to carefully familiarize yourself with all the features of the chosen specialty before submitting documents. This will facilitate the process of adaptation to new conditions during training.

    Special rights and benefits for applicants

    Some applicants have the right to enter the Moscow Aviation Institute without any entrance exams. Student reviews report that this happens quite often. Among these applicants:

    • Those who participated in All-Russian Olympiad or won it.
    • Those who participated in the All-Ukrainian Olympiad or won it.

    Others can learn through budget funds within a certain quota. Disabled people can take advantage of this opportunity; orphans; those who were left without parental care; combat veterans.

    The higher education institution in question may change some conditions at its discretion. Therefore, it is recommended to check regularly for current requirements.

    How are individual achievements taken into account?

    As reviews from 2016 report about MAI, when applying for training, they can declare their special achievements, which will certainly be taken into account when enrolling. Points are awarded for significant results (from 1 to 10).

    The following individual achievements play a role:

    • Sports victories (world champion, European champion, medalist or champion of the Olympic, Deaflympic and Paralympic games).
    • Secondary Certificate general education(with honors or with the condition of receiving a silver or gold medal).

    • Diploma received higher education(with honors).
    • Diploma of secondary vocational education (with honors).

      A maximum of 10 points can be awarded.

    Admission of foreigners

    Can foreign citizens become MAI students? Student feedback shows that they can. However, this group of applicants has its own special admission conditions.

    For example, such citizens can study at the Moscow Aviation Institute (reviews about the training of foreigners confirm this fact) both through financial support from the budget and through funding, the source of which is any legal entity or individual. In the second case, as is usually the case, a contract for the provision of services is concluded.

    In the higher educational institution in question, there is a strictly defined quota for the education of foreigners, which is established in accordance with current legislation. It may vary depending on the chosen specialty, as well as over time. Otherwise, foreign applicants are treated in the same way as Russian ones.

    Such applicants are not required to take a Russian language exam for admission. For neither, the list of mandatory examination disciplines is adjusted in a certain way.

    There is a certain quota foreign citizens who can study in those specialties whose educational programs imply the disclosure of information that relates to state secrets. This mechanism is governed by relevant law.

    The need for a medical examination

    A number of specialties require the provision of some additional documents. It's about about the results in accordance with the requirements based on current legislation Russian Federation. This condition applies to the following specialties:

    • "Radio-electronic systems and complexes."
    • "Testing of aircraft."
    • "Power engineering and electrical engineering".

    Take this into account if you plan to enroll in one of these specialties at the Moscow Aviation Institute. Feedback from students confirms that knowledge of this kind of features greatly facilitates the process. Parents of applicants are encouraged to monitor how their child prepares the necessary documents.

    Features of document acceptance

    What do you need to prepare before entering MAI? Reviews recommend studying this point in advance to avoid any unpleasant surprises during the document submission process. So what do you need to know?

    Along with the application for admission to this higher education institution, you must provide:

    • Any document that allows you to identify the applicant.
    • Two photographs (black and white) four by six centimeters in size.
    • Original document confirming previous education (a photocopy would also be appropriate).
    • If an applicant has any special rights upon admission, additional documents confirming this fact must be provided.

    In the event that a potential student considers it necessary to present admissions committee something else, he has the right to do it.

    Conclusion

    The Moscow Aviation Institute is an educational institution that has provided many thousands of students with high-quality knowledge and the opportunity to get a well-paid, prestigious job.

    Be extremely careful when choosing a university and specialty. This choice will have a significant impact on the rest of your life. Take it seriously. And then the coming years of study will bring you only the most positive emotions.
