One of the most popular salads served in any cafe and even in the most expensive restaurants is Caesar. There are many options for making Caesar salad. It is cooked with shrimp and seafood, with red fish, with meat or poultry, and of course with bacon. There are plenty to choose from, right? The main and important ingredients of Caesar salad are: lettuce leaves, grated Parmesan cheese, wheat croutons (croutons) and dressing (sauce) Caesar. Today I wanted to tell you how to cook a delicious and fairly light Caesar salad with fried chicken and bacon. To say that it is delicious is to say nothing ... The salad that I prepared for my next birthday turned out to be so tasty that it scattered from a large dish almost instantly. An excellent salad that will appeal to even the stronger sex.

    Would need:

    • Lettuce leaves - 1 pack.
    • Cherry tomatoes - 300 gr.
    • Quail eggs - 10 pcs.
    • Bacon - 100 gr.
    • Chicken fillet (breast) - 2 pcs. (from one breast)
    • Crackers (croutons) - 1 pack. (or homemade crackers)
    • Caesar sauce (ready) - 1 pack.
    • Parmesan cheese - 50-80 gr.
    • Vegetable oil - for frying chicken breast
    • Salt and pepper - to taste

This easy bacon Caesar salad recipe is an original and delicious take on a classic.

    Caesar salad with bacon

    2 servings

    1 small head of Romano lettuce
    4 strips of bacon
    2 chicken eggs
    3 tbsp grated Parmesan, more finely chopped
    2 garlic cloves
    1/2 loaf white bread, slightly stale

    for refueling:
    4 tbsp olive
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1/2 tsp

    Trim the crusts off the bread, cut into cubes, place in a baking dish and drizzle with a little olive oil. Put the mold in the oven at 180 degrees and, shaking from time to time, bake until golden brown. Put the pan on low heat and place the bacon slices on it: melt the fat, turning the bacon occasionally, and then transfer it to paper towels. Divide the salad into separate leaves, rinse and put on paper towels (but different ones!). Heat up a little olive oil and put in it the garlic, crushed and finely chopped. Heat the garlic in the oil over low heat until it begins to darken, then remove it from the pan and sauté the bread croutons in the oil until they take on the garlic flavor.

    Combine dressing ingredients until smooth, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. In boiling water flavored with vinegar and salt, boil the eggs without the shell for two minutes, remove with a slotted spoon and let the excess moisture drain. Now, just before serving, dress the salad, place the leaves on a plate, place the egg on top, and garnish with bacon and Parmesan shavings. Sprinkle with garlic croutons, grated Parmesan and bring to the table.

    Caesar salad with chicken and bacon - This is a classic of Italian cuisine. And it is also made in almost every eatery, cafe or restaurant. Every time you order a Caesar somewhere, the dish served is a surprise. It is impossible to predict how it will look this time, because each chef makes it differently, adds something new, puts shrimp with salmon instead of chicken and bacon, or adds tomatoes. Today I will show you how to make the perfect Caesar salad, classic, with bacon and chicken. I collected several recipes into one, took some from Jamie Oliver, some from the restaurant I used to work at, and added some of my own. As for me, there is practically nothing better 🙂

    Ingredients

    • - 300 gr (pancetta will be good)
    • - hips - 4 pcs
    • - Cherry - 200 gr
    • - iceberg lettuce - 0.5 small head
    • - white - 6 pieces
    • - melted - 100 gr (Viola type)

    Cooking method

    Let's tackle the meat first. We will not fry it, not boil it, but bake it, so we turn on the oven at full power for 10 minutes so that it heats up well. At this time, wash the chicken thighs and dry well with a paper towel. Usually chicken fillet is put in Caesar salad with bacon and chicken, but I think that thighs or legs fit much better: they are more juicy and meaty. We rub them on all sides with salt, black pepper, rosemary, olive oil and put them on a baking sheet. Put the baking sheet in the oven at the middle level, close it, reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and leave to bake for 45 minutes. Now on to the Caesar sauce. The classic Caesar sauce is made with the addition of anchovies, but this time I didn’t have them, and I don’t really like their flavor in this salad, so I made it without them. But if you really want, you can, of course, add anchovies. Take 2-3 things and grind in a mortar. And I'll start right away with homemade mayonnaise. I made it ahead of time, you can do the same with this recipe. We put it in a deep container or in a mortar with anchovies. Squeeze the garlic in the same place and mix everything well-grind until a homogeneous consistency. We rub Parmesan on a fine grater, pour wine vinegar or squeeze half a lemon, pour 3 times more olive oil, remember that the golden mean of dressing for salads is lemon juice: olive oil - 1: 3. Mix everything very well, you should get a creamy consistency.
    Now you need to toast. We take white bread and cut it into thin pieces. It may not be the first freshness, it will still turn out delicious.
    Toast slices of bread in a toaster, in a skillet or in the oven. I have this small oven, they are fried in it for about 5 minutes. But I advise you to fry one piece first, see how long it will take, and then put all the rest. For example, I did not do this, and one piece of bread was burnt.
    Now let's get to the cherry tomatoes. When buying these tomatoes, do not save money, take a little more expensive, they will be much sweeter and tastier than cheap counterparts.
    Wash them, separate them from the twigs and cut them in half.
    Take bacon or pancetta and cut it into very thin long pieces. It's best to buy bacon already cut on a slicer, but if you don't have one, it doesn't matter either, just be very careful.
    When the chicken thighs have been in the oven for 45 minutes, open it and lay the bacon on the surface of the meat so that during cooking, its juice and fat flow out onto it from above. Close the oven and leave for another 10-15 minutes until the bacon is browned.
    Now let's get to the croutons. Usually in Caesar you can see ordinary croutons or croutons, but I will tell you how to make amazingly tasty croutons with pesto and melted cheese. Let's start making sandwiches. In total, we toasted 6 slices of bread, so on 3 of them we smear melted cheese with a thin layer, and on the remaining 3 - pesto sauce. I already told you how to cook it, so let's look at the recipe. Please note that the layers should be thin. At first I thought the opposite, so in the end the filling of the "sandwiches" leaked out a little on the sides.
    We put the halves into one "sandwich" and cut across into 4 parts. As a result, you will get a lot of such lovely and insanely delicious croutons with spicy filling.
    The chicken and bacon will most likely be cooked by this time. They should look something like the one in the photo:
    We take them out of the oven and begin to separate the poultry meat from the bones. This should be easy enough because the chicken is well cooked through. We cut or tear into chaotic pieces of medium size.
    It's time to assemble the salad. We take a large bowl and tear iceberg lettuce into it with our hands.
    Throw in chopped cherry tomatoes.
    Put the chicken fillet on top.
    Pour everything with Caesar sauce, after mixing it again.
    Mix the salad well so that the ingredients are evenly covered with the dressing.
    We take large plates, put the finished part of the salad in them in slides. Put slices of baked bacon or pacetta on top, take a vegetable peeler and use it to rub Parmesan on top with thin plates. Place croutons with Pesto sauce and melted cheese next to it, sprinkle with freshly ground pepper and serve.
